The NACE Houston Chapter Awards recognize and celebrate excellence, innovation, and leadership within Houston's catering and events community. Each year, these prestigious awards honor outstanding individuals, teams, events, and organizations that have made a significant impact on our industry.

Award recipients are recognized during the NACE Houston Annual Awards Gala, one of the Chapter's most anticipated events of the year. Whether you are submitting for the first time or are a returning nominee, we encourage you to explore the award categories, review the submission criteria, and celebrate the exceptional work being done throughout our industry.

Submission Process

How do I submit an award nomination?
Visit the NACE Houston Awards Categories page and review the criteria for the award category you wish to enter. When submissions open, complete the online JotForm application and upload all required materials. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk. You will receive a confirmation email once your submission has been successfully received.

Can I submit for more than one award?
Yes. You may submit nominations in multiple categories as long as each submission meets the criteria for the award category entered.

Can multiple companies be included in one submission?
Yes. Individual and team categories have specific requirements. Team submissions may include multiple event partners; however, each nominated team member is responsible for the applicable submission fee unless the submitter elects to cover those fees. Please review the category-specific requirements before submitting.

Can I start my submission and finish it later?
Yes. Save your progress and return to complete your submission before the deadline.

Eligibility

Who can submit for a NACE Houston Industry Award?
Any Houston-area catering and events professional may submit for an Industry Award. NACE Houston membership is not required for Industry Award categories.

What events are eligible?
For the current awards cycle, the event or design must have taken place between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026.

Are NACE-sponsored events eligible?
No. NACE-sponsored or NACE-related events are not eligible for Industry Award consideration.

How do I determine which award category is the best fit for my submission?
We encourage applicants to carefully review the criteria for each category and select the award that best aligns with their event, achievement, or contribution. If you are unsure which category is most appropriate, please contact the Director of Recognition for guidance before submitting.

Judging & Recognition

How are submissions judged?
Award submissions are evaluated by volunteer judges from NACE Chapters across the country using a standardized scoring process based on the criteria outlined for each category.

Do I need to attend the Awards Gala to win?
No. Nominees and winners are not required to be present to receive recognition.

When and where will winners be announced?
Winners will be recognized during the NACE Houston Annual Awards Gala on Tuesday, September 22, at The Corinthian.

Deadlines & Support

When are submissions due?
Award submissions open on Thursday, June 18, and must be submitted by Friday, July 31, at 11:59 p.m. Please refer to the NACE Houston Awards webpage for any deadline updates.
