Rachel Sheerin knows sales, and she knows catering, so it should come as no surprise her favorite thing about the catering industry are the people she has had the opportunity to meet. And that’s why she uses her professional skills to train and coach people from being fearful of sales to sales rock stars! As a professional coach, trainer, and keynote speaker she focuses on helping professionals sell more, and providing good vibes in all aspects of her work.
Rachel spent several years in the off-premise catering and events industry before she found herself feeling completely burned out. After recovering, she founded her own business to help people feel confident in their sales abilities, so they can, in Rachel’s words, “be totally awesome millionaires” without sacrificing their creative skills. When asked what advice she would give to those entering the industry, Rachel suggests learning from every professional you meet, volunteer for everything, and ask to shadow anyone you admire.
Rachel’s energy is contagious, and that is probably why her favorite NACE memory was being offered a speaking opportunity at NACE Experience 2017. She says that Experience has always been an experience full of a-ha moments for her, and the opportunity to provide that for someone else was an honor.
Rachel also mentioned one of her favorite things in the events industry is the constant reminder that there is always something to celebrate. Rachel also admits to listening to Christmas and Holiday music year round…we think the two must be related.
