Shane Streitz Named NACE Michel Malecot Culinary Excellence Award Honoree

The National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) has announced the winner of the prestigious Michel Malecot Culinary Excellence Award, Shane Streitz, Executive Chef of Kelber Catering in Minneapolis, Minnesota! This award recognizes individuals with outstanding achievement in culinary excellence, community and industry involvement, and a commitment to leadership in culinary education, sustainability and social responsibility.
In his nearly 25 years with Kelber Catering, Streitz has paired culinary excellence with meaningful leadership and strengthened both his community and his profession. Streitz believes deeply in the philosophy that culinary excellence is inseparable from teamwork and discipline, and he is an active mentor and leader within and beyond the kitchen.

In 2024, Streitz and his team received the National Association for Catering & Events (NACE) Twin Cities Chapter “Best Program of 2024” for their entirely plant-based vegan menu.
