Monique Studak, CSS, CSW Named 2025 NACE Icon Award Recipient

The National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) is proud to announce Monique G. Studak, CSS, CSW, as the recipient of the 2025 NACE Icon Award. This prestigious honor recognizes an individual whose professional and personal efforts have made a lasting impact on the catering and events industry. Monique joins an esteemed group of leaders who exemplify innovation, mentorship, and service at the highest levels. 

Monique is the founder of Thirst for Knowledge, a beverage education and training company that empowers hospitality professionals to elevate guest experiences through confident, informed wine and spirits service. With over 25 years of industry experience—including leadership roles at E&J Gallo Winery, Pernod Ricard, and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits—she has pioneered a people-first approach to beverage strategy that blends technical expertise with storytelling, culture, and creativity. 

A certified sommelier and educator, Monique’s work has shaped the way beverage programs are designed, taught, and sold across restaurants, hotels, and event venues nationwide. Her dynamic presentations at industry events—including over 25 sessions at NACE Experience—have educated thousands of professionals on topics ranging from wine profitability to non-alcoholic trends. 

Her influence also extends beyond the classroom. Monique has been a dedicated volunteer and leader within NACE for over two decades, contributing to multiple chapters and serving on the Foundation of NACE Board of Trustees and national conference committees. She is widely respected for her mentorship, generous spirit, and unwavering support of emerging talent in the hospitality community.

Monique will be honored during the NACE ONE Awards Ceremony and Celebration Party on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the 2025 NACE Experience Conference for Catering and Events in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
