Honoring CPCEs Who Have Earned Lifetime Emeritus Status

The Certified Professional in Catering and Events (CPCE) is a nationally recognized program and the mark of excellence for catering and event professionals.

Lifetime Emeritus Status is an honor available to CPCEs in good standing for more than 10 years who are turning 60 years or older the calendar year of their recertification. Below is a list of these honored individuals who recently earned Lifetime Emeritus Status. (See further below for a full list of CPCEs with Lifetime Emeritus Status.)

  • Jerry Edwards, CPCE
  • Margery Reinheardt, CPCE
  • Terri Spicola, CPCE, CSEP

NACE asks CPCE Emeritus candidates to share how certification has enhanced their professional lives. Their insights are both inspiring and motivating. We invite you to peruse some of their reflections.

Jerry Edwards, CPCE

"The many benefits that have come from this accomplishment have enriched my career. In fact, I have even won contracts over competitors when I explain the certification. Studying for the test was the first benefit. I learned many things about the event industry during my study time. Then came the implementation of these lessons. Lastly, peer recognition has also been a great benefit."

Margery Reinheardt, CPCE

"When guests ask what CPCE represents, it is with pride that I can say this is evidence that I know what I am doing, that my procedures and policies are to be trusted, and that I have a relationship with a professional organization that recognizes our industry as reputable, reliable and current in keeping its members aware of trends and issues in our business! Mostly it is an acknowledgment that we are a group of trained professionals who take our business seriously. We have resources and an association that we can fall back on as needed and are authorities that can assist as requested."

Margery Reinheardt, CPCE

Terri Spicola, CPCE, CSEP

"Getting the education and certification through NACE was not just for the CPCE initials behind my name to help land a job, it is a personal achievement that reminds me that I have the education, expertise, imagination, and confidence to be an accomplished event producer. There are no limits to your creativity…embrace your passions!"

Terri Spicola, CPCE, CSEP
