On January 7th, NACE DFW kicked off the new year with an elegant and energizing evening at Hotel ZaZa Dallas, bringing together wedding and corporate event professionals from across the metroplex for a night rooted in education, collaboration, and connection. Set against a winter white design palette, the event felt equal parts elevated and inviting—an intentional reflection of what the NACE DFW community strives to create for its members.
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this was more than just a networking event. It was an opportunity to learn, reconnect, and look ahead to the new year—together.
Welcoming New Faces & Strengthening Community
The evening began with a New Member Orientation, offering first-time attendees and recent members a warm introduction to NACE DFW and its mission. Guests had the opportunity to meet members of the NACE DFW Board of Directors, learn about upcoming initiatives, and better understand how the organization supports growth, education, and meaningful relationships within the event industry.
This intentional opening set the tone for the night—one centered on inclusion, accessibility, and genuine connection. Whether attendees were seasoned NACE members or exploring the organization for the first time, the message was clear: there is room at the table, and community matters here.
Industry Education: Looking Ahead to 2026
The educational portion of the evening was led by Taylor Manning and Guy Charles of Wealth Realized, who shared valuable insight into what event professionals may expect from the 2026 economy and how future spending trends could impact our businesses.
Rather than overwhelming attendees with data, the presentation focused on providing clarity and context—helping professionals think proactively about financial strategy, adaptability, and long-term sustainability. The session concluded with a Q&A, allowing attendees to engage directly, ask thoughtful questions, and leave feeling more informed and prepared for what’s ahead.
In an industry that thrives on creativity and experience, this kind of forward-looking education is critical—and it was refreshing to see it presented in a way that felt approachable, relevant, and grounded.

The winter white theme came to life through seamless vendor collaboration, transforming the space into an atmosphere that felt clean, modern, and celebratory without being overdone.
Marchantia Smith Events provided the informative and delightful centerpieces, including a QR code about joining a NACE committee. Big D Party Rentals provided foundational design elements that elevated the room while allowing conversation and connection to remain front and center. The energy of the night was amplified by My DFW DJ, whose music created a lively backdrop for networking without overpowering it.
Every detail worked together—proving once again that when event professionals collaborate with intention, the result is something greater than the sum of its parts.
