Event Safety Alliance Releases “The Event Safety Alliance Reopening Guide”

The Event Safety Alliance, an association of event safety professionals, has released “The Event Safety Alliance Reopening Guide,” which presents planners with an outline of “reasonably foreseeable health risks and suggested options to mitigate them. The guide takes a pragmatic stance on reopening, stating that “smaller, local events…will reopen first.”

The guide covers topics such as planning when to reopen, educating customers and attendees, worker health and hygiene, handling worker illness, as well as sanitation practices. Also covered are managing venue access, special considerations for seated and general admission venues, front of house practices, socially distanced food and beverage, merchandise sales, production issues, and legal considerations.

Join ESA Vice President, Steve Adelman, on next week’s Explore webinar series, on May 19 at 1 PM Eastern for his session, Safety and Security for Future Events, where he explores the new Event Safety Alliance Reopening Guide.
