Pride Month Member Spotlight: Doug Quattrini, CPCE, Immediate Past President

How long have you been a member of NACE? What drew you to NACE?

Approximately 14 years now. Attending my first Experience conference as a non-member was eye opening, I definitely felt like I had found my “tribe”, and made a bunch of connections that I still have to this day.

What does Pride Month mean to you?

Pride Month, to me, is a time to put the spotlight on the LGBTQIA community and increase awareness of both the progress and lack of progress we’ve made as a society.

What do you think people can do this Pride Month to raise awareness about important issues that impact the global LGBTQ+ community in the catering and events industry?

I would encourage members of the catering and events industry to take a look at their marketing collateral, vendor partners, and sales and operations teams with a critical eye – is the LGBTQIA community represented? If not, it’s a great time to make some changes and put a broader diversity/equity/inclusivity business plan in place.
