Hurricane Ida Support

On August 29, 2021, Hurricane Ida touched down in the state of Louisiana on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, causing flooding across the Northeast as well. As of September 15, 112 total deaths across the U.S. have been confirmed with 33 of these deaths in New Orleans.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this natural disaster, and especially to our NACE members in the region. Several members of the NACE community have reached out to ask how they can help. Michelle Dunnick, CPCE, MBA, a member of the New Orleans Chapter and the NACE National Treasurer has provided the following suggestions:

There is a large need right now for basic household supplies and items to help with the recovery. If you’d like to buy items to support these efforts you can go to https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2I2QFXUL310ML?ref_=wl_share

If you’d like to make a monetary donation to help the area (not industry-specific) go to https://www.unitedwaysela.org/hurricane-ida-relief

If you’d like to make a donation to a fund that helps the hospitality industry in our area go to https://louisianahospitality.harnessapp.com/wv2/campaign/5023
