5 Inspirations that’ll get your catering business through COVID-19

“Things turn out the best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.”
– John Wooden

It’s been tough times waiting for the world to win the collective battle against COVID-19. But because of it, there’s been “some good news” that exemplifies people’s creativity and goodness.

The catering community is no exception. In only a few short weeks, we’ve seen caterers adapt in new and clever ways.

Here are five examples that inspire us here at Instawork. We hope they inspire you too.

The essentials: chicken, toilet paper, and booze

24 Carrots Catering + Events has been busy selling meal delivery, feeding the community, and celebrating their 16th year anniversary.

Their latest is “24 Provisions”, where you can get pantry items delivered to you. And yes, that includes necessities like rotisserie chicken, toilet paper, and booze ✅.

First up is one of their prep cooks Cesar Figueroa, who writes, “My native language is Spanish, my learned language is English, and my innate language is the art of Food.”

Feeding the community (marketing kit included)

In a jolt of inspiration and scrappiness, Dallas-based Front Burner Restaurants adapted their catering venue, Vestral Catering, to provide free meals to furloughed hospitality workers. All in four (very busy) days.
And they’re ready to help others start something similar in their city with a marketing toolkit. Request for more info here.
